Calligraphy Saffron
£3.19 – £111.03
Perfume Calligraphy Saffron was created for Aramis’ Middle Eastern clients, but it is also offered to the rest of the globe. It is the third fragrance in the house’s Perfume Calligraphy collection, having debuted in 2014. It comes in a bottle with gorgeous Arabic writing on it. Saffron, Turkish rose absolute, vetiver, marigold, lavender, tonka absolute, and styrax are among the scent’s notes, which are signed by Clement Gavarry.
Description
Perfume Calligraphy Saffron’s bottle suggests unusual straight away, especially to non-Middle Eastern buyers, but we were pleasantly delighted to find that it actually delivered a well-blended aroma. The flowers are warm and honeyed, but not too so, and the vetiver and leather give it a great dark sensation. We don’t believe it’s terribly complicated, but it does have a level of complexity that many people can only dream to. We would have preferred it to project more forcefully, but the scent’s subtlety didn’t detract from our appreciation of it.
